Verification of top-level domains (.COM, .NET, .ORG etc.)

Current post is outdated!

According to the ICANN regulations, domain information needs to be verified.

  • Domain email address verification – domain will not be activated until email address of the registrant is verified. To verity your e-mail address check your mailbox after domain registration: you will receive relevant e-mail with unique link provided and by following this link you can verify your e-mail address.
  • Confirmation of data changes – changing the name of the contact, the name of the company/private person or the contact email address is considered a change of ownership and requires confirmation from current and new owner.
  • Domain renewal confirmation – domain email address must be verified after the renewal.  If address is not verified, then the domain will be deactivated (suspended).
  • Domain transfer confirmation – transfer always requires a confirmation from the domain owner. If registrant information is changed during the transfer, then change of ownership will also take place, that also requires confirmation from the current and the new owner. If domain ownership change or transfer is not confirmed, then the procedure will not take place.

ATTENTION! If domain registrant has previously registered top-level domain and verified the registration, then registering a new domain with same user information will not require any verification. If domain is deactivated, then information change as well as nameserver change will not take place.

Verification must take place within 15 days. The transfer and ownership change verification link is active for 5 days and if the confirmation doesn’t take place, then transfer and change of ownership will fail.

If the domain is already deactivated, then the website and email associated with it will not work and following information will be shown on the website. Please follow the information give on the website and order a new verification email.

If the following information is shown on the website and you haven’t received a verification email, then please contact our customer support at info[ät]zone.ee:
