You’ll have to sign in to My Zone and paste the verification code in to the DNS records for your domain. After the change, it will take some time for the DNS to spread and the verification code to be published. Once the verification is active, contact the service provider to make sure that the domain is verified.
In case you do not have the required privileges to edit the DNS, you need to get the assistance of someone who has access or can grant you access.
You can change the DNS Records via domain management:
Domain verification is done by adding a TXT record. The TXT record will be provided to you by the service provider (e.g Google, Microsoft, Facebook).
Why is domain verification necessary?
- For confirmation that the domain was provided by its legitimate owner or a user with permission to manage the domain.
- To ensure that the domain provided is valid and has not expired.
- To confirm that the domain is not a spoofed address (for preventing any misuse or loss of service).
